Information plays one of the most important roles in this advanced information society. The mission of the university library is to assist faculty and students with their study and education in providing them with information collected and stored.

The university library consists of the Central Library in a central campus and the Pharmaceutical Sciences Branch Library in a Hama-Koshien campus. In the Central Library completed in 1994, about 1,090 seats and 580,000 volumes are available with a collection capacity of one million. It has also an electronic index system, a network system with academic information center and most advanced information services. In the Central Library, furniture from Denmark and Sweden is chosen very carefully to create an atmosphere with a warm and comfortable touch for advanced studies. In addition, audiovisual aids, such as DVD are fully equipped at the AV floor.
