授業目標	心理学・社会福祉という２領域においても今後「英語」という手段を用いる必要性が多くでてくるものと思われる。そのため、今後、人間科学の学生が出会うであろう様々な場面で「英語」が武器となるよう総合的な英語能力獲得を目標とする。
科目内容	ただ英文を読むだけでなく、実社会で遭遇するであろう場面において、英語で自己表現ができる様リスニング・リーディングという両側面からアプローチする。
授業計画	１　Japan still behind in accepting physically disabled people ２　Crafts help disabled win independence ３　Providing care and laughs for the elderly ４　Medical info just a phone call away ５　Program allows seniors to utilize videophones ６　Bedridden elderly people must be helped to help themselves ７　Discussion is necessary for accept nursing care workers from overseas ８　Electronic pets to help monitor the health of city's elderly ９　Training program planned to prepare volunteer drivers for elderly 10　Nursing care plan creates demand for home helpers 11　Service dogs strive for official recognition amid ignorance 12　Baby-sitter exam aims to improve care 13　Japan braces for life as oldest nation 14　Ex-Nissan chief says nation is ill-prepared for an aging society 15　Simulated patient enables risk-free medical training 　上記15項目を全12回の授業ですべてこなす。 　またそれ以外にも時事単語習得のため、毎時間10程度の単語を提示し、暗記。クイックレスポンスという方法で小テスト
評価方法	出席：30点　平常点：10点　定期試験：60点の計100点で評価する。
