科目目的 Course Objectives	専門分野の数式や専門用語を英語で理解する際に、日本語に多くあるカタカナ言葉が障害となることが多い。本科目は、専門分野の英語表現について、正しい発音と話し方を修得することを目的とする。
到達目標 Class Goal	科学技術分野でよく出てくる数式や記号の読み方、実験器具の説明などを英語で理解し、表現できるようになることを目標とする。
授業内容 The Content of the Course	科学技術分野でよく出てくる数式や記号の読み方から実験器具の説明までグループ活動を通じて毎回声を出して練習する。毎回小テストか聞き取り・話し方のタスクがある。グループで活動し、発表を行う。
授業計画 Class Plan	必修科目 Dictation quiz every time based on textbook and class materials. 1 Orientation & preparation 2 Units 1 & 2: Integers, Simple units 3 Units 3 & 13: Fractions and decimal numbers, Word stress differences 4 Units 4 &10: Equations, Complex equations 5 Units 5 & Appendix: Everyday numbers, Useful expressions 6 Units 6 & 14: Modifying numbers, Word endings and stress 7 Group presentations: Lab equipment presentations 8 Group presentations: Lab equipment presentations 9 Group presentations: Lab equipment presentations 10 Units 7, 15, 16: Ordinal numbers, Word endings and stress, Element names 11 Units 8, 17, 18: Number affixes, Inorganic and Organic compound names 12 Group presentations: Visual aid presentations 13 Group presentations: Visual aid presentations 14 Units 19 & 20: Colors, Shapes and forms 15 Wrap up and exam explanation
授業方法 Class Method	Group work and presentations with active class participation are required.
授業時間外学習 Review and Preview	Students must listen to the CD that comes with the textbook and prepare for each lesson. Also, students will be expected to prepare quiz sentences using the focus items for each lesson. Each group will give one or two presentations demonstrating acquisition of the lesson materials.
評価方法 Evaluation Method	・試験期間中に試験を実施(60点) ・レポート[作品含む](20点) ・平常点等(20点)　配点内訳：小テスト（20点）
