科目目的
Course Objectives
経営学の世界においても、特に海外企業などでは新たな技術や手法を取り入れて、より高い成果を上げられるようにしようという努力が行われている。この科目では、そうした新たな取り組みとして、新技術(AIなど)がどのように実務に取り入れられていくのかを学習し、企業実務に貢献できる人材となっていくための基盤づくりを目的とする。

授業内容
The Content of the Course
This course provides an introduction to generative artificial intelligence and its relevance to business and society. The course focuses on understanding foundational AI concepts, commonly used generative AI tools, and their application in academic and professional contexts. Emphasis is placed on practical use, ethical considerations, and the development of sound judgment when working with AI-generated information, with the aim of preparing students for informed participation in contemporary business and societal environments.

Generative artificial intelligence will be examined through practical academic and business contexts, with attention to its role in society and everyday professional activity. The course emphasizes an applied approach to AI, including foundational concepts, basic prompt design, methods for evaluating AI-generated information, and desktop-based digital workflows, with particular focus on responsible use, ethical awareness, and preparation for participation in business and society.

Upon completion of this course, students should have an understanding of the following:
• Foundational concepts of generative artificial intelligence and commonly used AI tools
• Basic desktop-based digital workflows, including browser navigation and the use of cloud-based applications
• Principles of effective prompt design and refinement
• Methods for evaluating AI-generated information for accuracy, bias, and appropriateness
• Ethical and responsible use of AI in academic, business, and societal contexts
Students who complete this course should also benefit from increased confidence in digital tool use and strengthened judgment when working with AI-supported information.

Class Plan
Week 1: Introduction to generative AI, the course structure, expectations, homework, and grading
Week 2: Essential desktop skills for effective AI use (typing, keyboard shortcuts, mouse control, browser navigation, taking screenshots, file management)
Week 3: Introduction to common AI agents and interfaces
Week 4: Examples of using desktop Google Classroom and Google Apps in AI-supported coursework
Week 5: How and why to employ cross-checking of AI-generated output using multiple tools and sources
Week 6: Prompt design for assignments: clarity, context, constraints, and iteration
Week 7: Evaluating AI output for accuracy, bias, completeness, and appropriateness
Week 8: Using AI for business communication (email, summaries, reports, tone adjustment)
Week 9: Using AI for planning, organizing, and research in business contexts
Week 10: Applied case study: AI use in business contexts (retail or service industry)
Week 11: Applied case study: AI use in business contexts (manufacturing or operations)
Week 12: Ethical and responsible use of AI in academic and business settings
Week 13: Academic integrity and appropriate AI use in university coursework
Week 14: AI tools used in modern workplaces and university projects

Class Method
This course is delivered as an asynchronous, on-demand learning experience. Instruction is provided through recorded materials and guided activities that require active engagement. Students are expected to complete assigned tasks and exercises each week and to participate through submissions and activities in Google Classroom.

•Participation: 30% (timely completion of weekly activities, submissions, and engagement through Google Classroom)

Student learning will be evaluated through quizzes, applied assignments, and participation in course activities. Quizzes assess understanding of key concepts, while assignments and exercises evaluate practical application of AI tools and responsible use in academic and business contexts.
