Important notice about payment

Last update: May 19, 2012

Please note that you will be responsible for any bank charges necessary for the transfer of money. When remitting money overseas, the remitting bank in your country and the receiving bank in Japan will charge fees separately, and any intermediary banks involved may also charge additional fees, which the fees will come to a total of roughly 4,000-10,000JPY per transaction. Please be sure to pay for all the necessary bank fees that may be charged by all the banks involved (i.e. the remitting bank, the receiving bank, and so forth). If the amount we received after the bank charges have been deducted is less than the correct amount, we will charge you again for the insufficient amount. Thank you for your understanding.

A participant who transferred money from a bank outside of Japan should send us a copy of the debit slip of the payment electronically to iasu2012@mukogawa-u.ac.jp for confirmation.

Important notice about authors' visa application

Last update: May 19, 2012

For your visa application, we will prepare the required documents based on the "Guide to Japanese Visas" by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. Please be sure to refer to their website for more information (http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/index.html). For this reason, we are not going to issue a "Letter of guarantee", which is needed when the inviter is to shoulder travel expenses according to the guide, and any extra documents which do not appear in the guide, e.g. a request letter. Even if the Embassy of Japan in your country requires a "Letter of guarantee", we will not issue it. Furthermore, we do NOT take any responsibility for visa refusal and any costs incurred in case of visa refusal, e.g. registration fee and bank transfer fee based on our cancellation and refund policies, airfare, hotel charge, and so forth. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.
